    Accommodation of about 10000-20000 sq.ft is required for class room, library and office, near the Institute’s transit campus which is situated at the College of Engineering Trivandrum, on Kulathur road, on rent/lease.
    Period: Required for occupation from December 2011 for 1- 1 ½ year.
    Persons interested to offer their building premises with prospect of meeting the above requirements may make their offers with the full details of the premises viz. under headings (1) Location details (2) Ownership and registration under municipal authority (3) Space (plinth area, carpet/floor area and campus space as the case may be with brief description of building plan, approach & access (4) Electric Power supply (5) Water supply (6) Fixtures & Furnishings (7) Other notable facilities & amenities and (8) the expected monthly rent also factoring the income tax to be deducted at source.   • ENLISTING OF SUPPLIERS OF BOOKS/JOURNALS

    Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Thiruvananthapuram is an educational and research institute established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. The Institute is awarding five year integrated MS degree in addition to Ph.D degrees in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and inter-disciplinary areas. The Institute intends to enlist suppliers who fulfill the requirements/eligibility mentioned below for supply of books/journals to its Library. Interested book suppliers/subscription agencies are invited to send in their applications in the prescribed format to the Registrar on or before 8th July 2011. The applications should include proof/evidence of all items mentioned in the requirements/eligibility and in the application form.

    Requirements/eligibility:

    1. Five years experience in supply of books/journals in the field of science and research, to reputed science libraries. Importers of such books will be given special weightage. (documentary proof to be enclosed).

    2. Payment of Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 10,000 (Ten Thousand Only) on enlisting.

    The enlistment of suppliers shall be based on their status determined from the information furnished in the application form and also by confirming the authenticity and suitability.

    The decision of the Institute regarding enlisting of the suppliers shall be final.

  • Seeking “Expression of Interest” for a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)

    Interested vendors are requested to submit an Expression of Interest for a Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) for IISER Thiruvananthapuram. The SEM will primarily be used for material sciences application; high resolution(~ 1 nm) imaging, characterization and analysis. Along with standard secondary electron and back scattered electron imaging capability of conducting/non-conducting samples, angle and energy resolved imaging is warranted. Above should be supplemented with (i) high resolution materials analysis capability, energy dispersive X-ray analysis and mapping  (ii) nano-micro scale fabrication facility e.g. e-beam lithography and direct e-beam writing.
    The vendors are also invited to deliver a presentation (date/venue given below) to demonstrate the various capabilities/ functionalities of their advertised SEM.

  • Accomodation Wanted on Hire-2011

    The institute is looking for accommodation in building premises on rent lease with broad requirements indicated here below:

         1. Intended use & Space requirements : 

    A. Office/Library/Transit Hostel-Guest House;   2500 to 5000 sq ft.

    B. Student hostel  for about 70 inmates;  10000 + sq ft; Appropriate space for kitchen and dining is desirable.

    Buildings with smaller or larger spaces may also be considered depending upon their features, location and institute’s requirements.
         2. Location:

     For 1 A): Near transit campus of the Institute i.e. College of Engineering, Kulathur, Thiruvanathapuram and within 1 km, preferably on Chavadimukhu-Kulathur Road;

     For 1 B): In close vicinity of the transit campus of the Institute i.e. College of Engineering, Kulathur, Thiruvanathapuram within 3 km.
