Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Name of Project Open quantum systems – NonMarkovian Dynamics and Not Completely Positive Maps (DST-QuEST project No. Q113)
Funding agency Department of Science and Technology (QuEST program)
Minimum Educational qualification ( as prescribed by the funding agency) M.Sc. in Physics with valid score/rank in one of the national eligibility tests like GATE, JEST, CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship OR Selection to Masters Degree through National Level examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc
Preference Specialization in quantum information theory and/or theoretical solid state physics
Number of posts 2
Fellowship amount Rs 31,000 + HRA
Tenure of the post 2 years extendable for 3 more years based on the satisfactory review of performance.
Age 28 Years with applicable relaxation for SC/ST,OBC candidates.
