Recruitment of Veterinarian (on contract basis)

A walk in Interview for the post of “Veterinarian on contract basis” will be conducted on 16-09-2019 at 10.00 AM.

Essential Qualifications:

B.V.Sc with 8 years of experience or M.V.Sc (Veterinary Pathology / Microbiology / Virology / Medicine or equivalent qualifications) with 5 years’ experience in handling experimental animals including breeding and maintenance of transgenic animals. The candidate should have a proven track record of working in an animal research facility, preferably linked to an academic institution.

Job Responsibilities:

• The selected candidate will have to function as the Institutional Animal House In-charge.
• Establishment of infrastructural setup, procuring equipment and getting approvals for the facility and experimental protocols and training of the personnel.
• Making specifications in sufficient detail to procure the right kind of latest equipment for the animal facility and assist in evaluating tenders on technical aspects.
• Work with several mandatory committees constituted to carry out animal work in accordance with the Institutional and CPCSEA guidelines.
• Maintenance and breeding of the animals (stock as well as experiments) for all investigations as per the CPCSEA guidelines of Govt.of India.

Remuneration:- Rs. 50,000/- per month (consolidated)

Age:- Not more than 60 Years (Relaxation can be considered for candidates with exceptional records)
