In association with Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre, Chennai a one day seminar was organized at Thiagarajar College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on 25th August, 2014, as part of the Institute outreach program. Prof. V. Ramakrishnan, Director, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, inaugurated the function and stressed for creation of aptitude for basic sciences among students.
Faculty members from IISER Thiruvananthapuram, Dr Anil Shaji, Dr Sureshan, Dr Dharmatti Sheetal and Dr Natesh Ramanathan delivered lectures and interacted with a group of college students affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj Univeristy.
