IISER Thiruvananthapuram jointly with Samagra Shiksha Kerala (SSK) is organizing a three-day Teachers’ Training Program from 6-8th December 2019 at IISER. Participants include 224 teachers (56 each from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics) across Kerala State. The program will have two categories of lectures: (i) Talks by eminent teachers/scientists who will lecture to the entire audience of 224 teachers. Each subject will have one such speaker who is articulative to inspire teachers across all the four subjects and (ii) talk by eminent teachers/scientists who will lecture to the teachers from respective subjects. In addition to these, there will be a general lecture by a Librarian or a resource person who can talk about the available resources for teaching and learning. A practical session on the demonstration of different scientific experiments also will be held in the evening hours that the teachers may benefit to improve their teaching and learning process.
