IISER Thiruvananthapuram, through its Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), organised the distribution of water purifiers to tribal settlement communities in adopted villages on 19 August 2026.

The programme was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar Ji, with Vijayalakshmi Deshmane, Chairperson, Board of Governors, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, presiding over the function, in the presence of Prof. S. Murty Srinivasula, Director, IISER Thiruvananthapuram.

The initiative reflects IISER TVM's continued commitment to meaningful community engagement and improving access to safe drinking water for rural and tribal communities.
