Abstract: This talk is the first in a series on Quasi-Hereditary Algebras, aiming to provide foundational concepts essential for understanding this important class of algebras. We will begin by discussing quivers and their representations, highlighting how these combinatorial objects encode algebraic structures. We will then explore standard modules and highest weight categories, crucial for the study of quasi-hereditary algebras. Finally, we will introduce quasi-hereditary algebras, touching upon their key properties and significance in representation theory. This talk will set the stage for further exploration of quasi-hereditary algebras in subsequent talks.
