Prof. Sureshan's work in Nature Communications

Packing a polymer in different topologies could be a way to make different forms of the same polymer that have different properties. Unlike small molecules, crystallizing a polymer is not an easy task in view of the entropic factors and polydispersity. Sureshan's team circumvented this problem by crystallizing a reactive monomer in three different polymorphic forms and polymerizing these monomers in the crystalline state by adopting TAAC polymerization method his team has developed recently. By this method they have obtained three different crystalline forms of the same polymer!
