In association with Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre, Chennai a one day Science symposium was organized at Regional Science Centre, Coimbatore on 18th November, 2015, as part of the Institute outreach program. Prof. V. Ramakrishnan, Director, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, inaugurated the function and stressed for creation of aptitude for basic sciences among students and outlined the course offered at IISERs.
Faculty members from IISER Thiruvananthapuram, Dr Ramesh Rasappan, Dr Nish Kannan, Dr Vinayak Kamble and Dr Stephan Baier delivered lectures and interacted with a group of students undergoing UG/PG programmes in colleges in and around Coimbatore.
