Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of JRF in a DST sponsored project entitled Ultrafast optical and terahertz studies of the dilute bismide alloys, GaN:Bi and GaAs:Bi.

Applications with complete bio-data including phone number, email and postal address along with photocopies of educational/professional qualifications, reprints of papers etc are invited from Indian nationals for temporary post of JRF in a DST sponsored project entitled “Ultrafast optical and terahertz studies of the dilute bismide alloys, GaN:Bi and GaAs:Bi”. The initial appointment will be for a year but extendable up to three years based on the performance. The position is purely temporary. While the candidate may apply for Ph.D program of the institute separately, appointment in the project does not guarantee such admission.

Eligibility: MSc/MTech in Physics/Photonics/Materials Science with 60% marks, qualified CSIR-UGC NET-JRF/LS or GATE (valid qualifier score). Preference will be given to those with published research work of high quality in related areas.
 
Age: The upper age limit shall be 26 years on the day of application. A relaxation of 5 years is applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates.
Salary: Rs 16000/-pm + HRA.
