Recruitment for posts of Junior Research Fellow

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Name of Project Quantum point contact charge amplifiers embedded in a planar superconducting microwave resonator: Quantum-limited charge sensing and counting
Funding agency STARS-MoE
Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency) Master’s degree in Physics/Engineering physics/Applied Physics/ with a minimum of 60% marks, selected through a process prescribed in any one of the following (a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-UGC NET including lectureship and GATE. Or (b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by MHRD and its Agencies and institutions such as UGC / llT / llSc / IISERs / lllTs etc.
Preference Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in (i) semiconductor device processing, fabrication techniques such as lithography, metallization, etching (ii) Electrical and Electronic instrumentation, Computer interfacing (iii) electrical characterization techniques, cryogenic instrumentation

Fellowship amount 31000/- + HRA p/m
Tenure of the post 01-Year and extendable by six months subjective to the satisfactory performance of the candidate
Age 28 Years or below as on the closing date of application, Age relaxation as per GOI rules for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC .

A printed copy of the application form sent by email signed and dated by the applicant along with recent passport size photograph and photocopies of relevant certificates and other testimonials in support of age, qualification, experience etc. will be collected at the time of interview.
