Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency)
  1. Post graduate degree in any area of biological sciences OR Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
    1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(Assistant Professorship) and GATE
    2. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT,DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR,ICMR,IIT, IISc, IISER etc.,
  2. Two years of research experience
Preference

Candidate should be highly motivated to do basic research in biology.
Academically excellent candidate with technical proficiency in recombinant DNA(rDNA) technology especially in cloning, designing and making gene constructs, growing and managing plants. Candidates who have experience in handling Arabidopsis plants is a plus but not mandatory.
