Candidates should preferably have an M.Sc./M.Stat./M.Tech./ME/MS/BS-MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or Data Science, with a minimum CPI of 6.5/10 (or equivalent first class) and a valid CSIR-UGC NET/UGC NET (Category I/II/III)/GATE qualification. Candidates with a B.Tech./BE in Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Statistics, or related disciplines with a minimum CPI of 6.5/10 and a valid GATE score are also eligible. GATE is exempted for candidates with a B.Tech./BE CPI of 8.0/10 or above from IITs, IISc, or IISERs. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD candidates will be as per Government of India and ANRF norms. |
| Desirable Qualifications |
Candidates with a strong background in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related disciplines, having knowledge of statistical inference, probability theory, decision theory, Bayesian methods are preferred. Experience in statistical computing using R or Python, and familiarity with adaptive clinical trial designs or biostatistics will be an added advantage. |
