Recruitment for the post of JRF on externally funded project "Theoretical investigation of robust topological quantum channels in novel dissipative phases of matter and their characterisation using quantum information concepts."

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Title of the project: Theoretical investigation of robust topological quantum channels in novel dissipative phases of matter and their characterisation using quantum information concepts.

Funding Agency: Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Minimal educational qualifications: Masters in Physics(MS-MS/MSc) or equivalent.

Desirable qualifications:
Knowledge of basics of one of the topics : Quantum condensed matter theory, Quantum field theory, Quantum information.
Programming skills in Mathematica/Python will be an added advantage.
Scholars who have cleared- CSIR -UGC NET including lectureship and GATE are also preferred.

Number of Posts: One

Fellowship amount: Rs. 37000 per month + House rent allowance

Tenure of the post: 1 year and extendable upto 3 years based on performance

Age: Maximum limit 30 years.
