The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis

Name of Post	JRF (Junior Research Fellowship)/Project Associate
Name of Project	Copper-Mediated Nucleophilic and Electrophilic Propargylation Reactions: Asymmetric Synthesis of Various Propargylic Compounds
Funding agency	SERB
Minimum Educational qualification ( as prescribed by the funding agency)	MSc Chemistry (or) MSc Organic Chemistry (specialization) with a minimum of 60% marks
Desirable qualifications	Candidates having research experience will be preferred
Number of posts	01
Fellowship amount	INR. 31,000/-per month (Consolidated) for GATE or CSIR/UGC-NET JRF or LS (Lectureship). INR. 25,000/-per month + 8% HRA for those who do not qualify for GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET JRF/LS (Lectureship).
Tenure of the post	Initial contract is for 1 year and is extendable based on the performance of the candidate till the termination of project or till fund availability.
Age	Less than 30 years (age relaxation for OBC-NCL, SC/ST candidates as per GoI norms).
