The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science.

The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Title of the project	Defining fundamental principles of vesicle fusion using infectious and genetic disease models
Funding agency	DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance
Minimum Educational qualification ( as prescribed by the funding agency)	Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course along with any one of the following: Selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. Other National level examinations by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Desirable qualifications	Candidates with academic and technical proficiency in one of the relevant areas (biochemistry, microscopy, microbiology, molecular biology, immunology) and atleast one year of research experience are preferred. Training in cell culture workflow, handling of bacterial pathogens, infection studies, and BSL2/BSL3 practices are highly desirable.

Fellowship amount	Rs. 37,000 + HRA, as applicable.
Tenure of the post	1 year. Position maybe renewable after a year subject to candidate’s performance.
Age	Max. 35 years
