The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Minimum educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency) Experience Required	Minimum of 3 year post-doc experience with strong expertise in molecular biology techniques PhD in any discipline of Life Sciences with relevant research experience Post-graduate degree passed with first class
Desirable Qualifications	Demonstratable experience with mammalian cell culture, mouse work, molecular biology techniques, production of adeno or lentiviruses, generating transgenic cell lines, biochemical and biophysical techniques. A track record of good quality publications is highly desirable. Candidates must be able to start from 1st November, 2026.

Fellowship amount	Rs 1 lakh per month (consolidated) with upgrade at start of 3rd year. No separate HRA
Tenure of the post	3 years (initial appointment is for 6 months, continuation is subject to satisfactory performance)
