Title: Low Mach number limits and the interaction of incompressible and acoustic flows
Abstract: The Mach number is a non-dimensional parameter that characterise the behaviour of compressible flows. When this parameter goes to zero, one can identify two possible asymptotic limits of compressible flows occurring on very different time scales and described by very different PDE's types. This talk will discuss these limits and their interactions.
