After gaining the fundamental knowledge about how biological systems work during my B.Tech (Industrial Biotechnology) at Center for Biotechnology-Anna University, I went on to pursue my PhD at University of Massachusetts-Amherst, under the guidance of Dr.Lisa Minter. I investigated how CD4 T cells differentiate into multiple subsets especially during autoimmune response. While T cells keep differentiating into multiple subsets, studying their differentiation had been constant in my scientific career. During my postdoc at University of Connecticut Health Center-Farmington under the mentorship of Dr.Linda Cauley, I studied the differentiation of CD8 T cells using various mice models during bacterial and viral infection.
