We will define the notions of a Lie algebra and its finite dimensional representation, and go on to see what are the irreducible finite dimensional complex representations of the Lie algebra sl( 2, C), where C is a set of complex numbers.
Important Note: The talk will be accessible to all students who have done basic ( first and second year) mathematics course. It will be completely self contained. Hence all interested students are requested to attend.
