Abstract : The physics of Dirac-like materials, i.e., materials whose low energy excitations obey an effective Dirac equation. After a pedagogical introduction to two classes of such materials,namely graphene and topological insulators, and shall focus on the manifestation of Dirac nature of these quasiparticles in transport through junctions of such materials.
